NNPC PARTNERS IBBUL

The Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) is to go into partnership with   Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida University,
Lapai on the Bida and Sokoto Basins Hydrocarbon Exploration Research.

This was made known by the Group General Manager of the NNPC Frontier Exploration Services, Dr. Mazadu Bako at a meeting with the Vice Chancellor of Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida University, Professor Muhammad Nasir Maiturare at the NNPC Towers in Abuja yesterday.

The Frontier Exploration Services Group General Manager stated that the NNPC would fast track efforts on the on going exploration for oil and gas in the two basins

The meeting had in attendance, the IBB University Director of Centre for Applied Sciences and Technology Research (CASTER) Professor Nuhu Obaje, who is also a Geologist. Others are  staff of NNPC/FES.

It is one of corporate social responsibilities of the NNPC to involve proximal Universities and communities in her activities.

Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida University, Lapai is very popular for its dogged research in the exploration of crude oil on the Bida Basin where large quantity is deposited.
