LETTER TO MY DEAREST ABUBAKAR GIMBA

May the peace and mercy of God be with you, my dearest Father, Uncle and role model.
I hope this letter gets to you in the best manner….

May we continue to be a source of joy to you as you lie in peace and continue to be an inspiration for us.
Today (25th February 2017) makes it 2 years you parted with us. You left us in this unpredictable world, but with your sincere advice and way of life we still have a lot to smile about.
I sincerely have stuck to the last advice you gave on the last meeting before we parted, although some of us have forgotten and need to be reminded.
Your younger ones (Yasare,Bakuku,Basule and Gogo Nmma)are doing their best even though they are faced with a lot of challenges.
As for your wives (our mothers), I have nothing to say, I just wish you were still with us.
I wish you are still with us to witness your fears, I wish you are still with us to scold us when we are wrong.
WE MISS YOU...
I MISS YOU SO MUCH, I wish I had been VERY close to you while growing up to have learnt and shared a lot. You taught me to always be respectful, sincere, truthful and be patient in all my dealings
I MISS YOU for I have NOBODY to sincerely treat me like you did, NO ONE has tolerated me the way you did, No one has scolded me the way you did, Although your younger ones, some of my brothers and sisters have been trying to fill the vacuum you left in my life, it remains, for you are one in a million. As you always say ‘’May ALLAH bless you’’ (when we do the right thing), May Allah accept those prayers, I strongly believe this prayer has gone a long way in making us successful in life and also has been protective.
Àlhaji Shitu, Mal Shehu (A.G),  Mal Yakubu Bello, Engr Muhammed Mamman, and Sheikh Abdullah had all pass on. May you all unite in Aljannatu Firdausi (Amin). Your humble Christian neighbour,Mr Paul Gaba also passed on..
I have to tell you this

Since you left us I have always prayed for you and hopefully my brothers and sisters are doing same, for your last word was for us to always put you in prayers.
As I write this letter, my heart  is filled  with sorrow and my eyes with tears, the pains of you not being around us just keeps increasing as events unfold
Oh Allah, stand for us. Never leave us in the hands of our enemies and never make us depend on one another.
I pray to Almighty ALLAH to continue to have Mercy on you, forgive your shortcomings, Put Noor in your grave and UNITE us again in Aljanatul Firdaus.
Thank you
Yours sincerely
LABAIQ

  1. May Allah rest his soul and may he be granted tge highest level of Jannatul Firdausi...
A Literary icon he was...now its all once upon a time. Life is indeed vanity...it is emptiness in and out.

    Rest On.
