Minna International Airport gets busy following closure of Nnamdi Azikwe International airport
Following the closure of Nnamdi Azikiwe International airport Abuja for repairs, Minna International airport is also getting busy despite not been selected as alternative airport.
According to our source, findings revealed that the traffic of Minna airport has increased as some airlines prefer the airport to Kaduna as alternative to move to and from Abuja because of Minna closeness to the federal capital city.
It was learnt that within 48 hours Abuja airport was closed, no fewer than six traffics have being witnessed at the airport daily including international airline enrooting from Lagos to Abuja as some airline were ready to provide Helicopter services from Minna airport to Abuja in order to fast track their movement.
The arrival and departure lounge of the airport it was observed is been up graded to meet up with the traffic and also provide the necessary arrangements even as the VIP lounge has undergone some upgrade too.
