Minna International Airport, according to materials supplied to Boeing Company by Thales Avionics of UK, has the third (3rd) longest Runway in Nigeria after Abuja and Lagos International Airports. A runway of 3400m (11155ft) and Load Classification Number (LCN) of 90.
Pilots who have used this facility have acknowledge the fact that the airport is still in shape to accommodate large number of flights.

We are appealing to the Minister for Transport to upgrade the Navigational equipment and finish the Terminal building of the airport including the supporting facilities. These were projects that were abandoned by the former administration which if finish will positively affect the development of Niger State.
In Niger State we still maintain that Minna airport is closer to Abuja.
