STILL ON COLLEGE OF NURSING SCIENCES BIDA (PART III)

Re: Honourable Commissioner of Health, Dr. Mustapha Mohammed Jibril

Personally, I am not against the establishment of New School of Nursing Sciences in KONTAGORA but the
Government should not DARE ignore School of Nursing Sciences‚ Bida and School of Midwifery‚ Minna and expect well meaning Nigerlites, patriot and Community based NGOs to keep mute.

Those who read my write-up on "ABU LOLO GRAND PLAN TO KIll SCHOOL OF NURSING SCIENCES BIDA'' and the response by the Chairman, KONTAGORA EMIRATE DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATION  objectively, would conclude that the allegations by HON. Commissioner of Health that I am trying to divided NIGERLITES along tribal/ Zonal paradigm is Baseless, unfounded and political gimmick aimed at diverting the attention of people from the CORE ISSUES raised by my unbiased, factual and detribalised write- up on the State of SCHOOL of Nursing‚ BIDA and SCHOOL of MIDWIFERY‚ Minna respectively.

Ordinarily, writing a rejoinder to HON. Commissioner of Health, would not have been necessary, because of the intervention of His Royal Highness, ESTU NUPE, Alhaji(Dr) YAHAYA ABUBAKAR, CFR, our Vibrant and dynamic HON. Haruna DOKODZA and other stakeholders across ZONE A and B respectively, but I feel deeply, that my silence will be misconstrued by many to mean that I actually attempt to polarise Nigerlites along such sentimental bases. Nothing can be taken as  truth from the Hon. Commissioner's response. I actually feel worrisome and bitterly pained, because anytime a patriotic Nigerlite have a reason to criticize the ABU LOLO led- government, his psychopathic Aides and Apologists will raise to his defence and give the matter a tribal interpretation and coloration.

Hon. Commissioner Sir, did you spend quality time to objectively examine my piece on the state of School of Nursing Sciences‚ Bida before you wrote your rejoinder nay misinterpretation of the argument ? This question is pertinent because I see a commissioner who frantically run to social media to defend his pay master with empty, pointless and uncoordinated argument as its regard the core issues under discussion. In the end‚ the Commissioner did not attend to the issues at hand, but instead deviated from the crux of the matter to praise sing his Boss.

Abu LOLO's Government attempts to employ 300 medical personnel is COMMENDABLE, LAUDABLE and APPRECIATED by all a sundry in Niger State, but the thesis and argument of my write- up, Which your shallow response failed to address is that the Government should  provide critical infrastructure for the development of the basic training ground for  medical personnel the state wants to employ. This is the Focal point the state government has been missing over the years.

Hon Commissioner Sir, you are aware that majority of the Doctors and other health supporting personnel in our state hospitals are not indigene of the state. This is partly because of the government failure to clearly and holistically articulate "sustainable and workable strategy  for the improvement of the institutions that produce health care personnel across the state''.  Where does the state government plan to employ 300 medical expert from when the training school for those professionals are abandoned or treated on the bases of tribal or Zonal consideration?

According to Nursing Council regulatory standard, a College of Nursing should have minimum of 18 or 23 certified Tutors (Lecturers). Ironically, College of Nursing Sciences‚ Bida, currently can't not burst of 12 certified Nursing TUTORS, the situation has degenerated to the extent that retired Tutors ( who can't effectively mentor the students because of their age and strength) are now employed on part-time basis to support the poor number of teaching staff in Bida. The same is the faith of School of Midwifery‚ Minna.

Hon Commissioner Sir, your clarification or response to my piece indicated that in 2016 you setup a committee to X-ray the challenges confronting SON and Midwifery Minna, but your ministry failed to make adequate budgetary provision for the schools in 2016 and even 2017 budget, while recently , on 9th February, 2017.your ministry placed an advert on Daily Trust Newspaper calling qualified TUTORS and health personnel to recruited for ONLY KONTAGORA newly established school of Nursing Sciences. On what moral ground do you stand by calling my write up a tribal inciting piece? Or are you not aware that in School of Nursing Sciences‚ Bida students still use PIT LATRINE in this 21th century?

Mr. Commissioner Sir, it's now conspicuously clear that Abu LOLO grand Scheme to kill School of Nursing Sciences‚ Bida is ostracised and supervised under your Leadership.

History will not forget that under your stewardship SCHOOL of Nursing Sciences‚ Bida is about to experience its final extinction and funeral.

Our stand has Community vanguard in Zone A, therefore, is that your response has exposed your incapacity and sentimental idiosyncrasy in managing our health care institutions, and you should please honourably RESIGN.

And should the State Government fail to address both SON Bida and Midwifery Minna and consider only SON KONTAGORA, we shall be left with no choice but to STAGE 10,000 YOUTH peaceful demonstration against such injustice.

Enough of this astonishingly bald-faced lies and propaganda against our genuine agitation, intention and  commitment to promote equitable distribution of health care services and EQUAL treatment of all Zones across the State.
